B&K Business Group (“B&K,” “we,” “us”) provides low-voltage cabling, lighting, audio/visual, CCTV, managed IT and web hosting services. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect through bkbusinessgroup.com (the “Site”), how we use it, and the choices you have.

Information you give us

When you request a quote, fill out a contact or support form, call or email us, or sign up for updates, we collect what you provide. That may include your name, company, email address, phone number, service address, and details about your project or support request.

If you pay an invoice online, your payment is handled by a third-party payment processor. We do not receive or store your full card or bank account number.

Information collected automatically

When you visit the Site, some information is collected automatically:

  • Analytics. We use Google Analytics, connected through Google’s Site Kit plugin, and WordPress.com (Jetpack) Stats to understand how visitors use the Site. These tools collect information such as pages viewed, time on page, referring website, approximate location (city or region), browser and device type. Google Analytics uses cookies to do this.
  • Security. Our security tools record IP addresses and request details to block spam, attacks and unauthorized access.
  • Server logs. Like most websites, our hosting server keeps standard logs, including IP address, date and time, and pages requested.

How we use your information

We use the information we collect to:

  • respond to your questions and prepare quotes;
  • schedule, perform and support the services you hire us for;
  • send invoices and service-related messages;
  • send occasional updates or offers, if you’ve signed up (you can unsubscribe at any time);
  • understand and improve the Site and our services; and
  • protect the Site, our business and our customers, and meet legal obligations.

How we share information

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.

We share information only with:

  • Service providers that help us run our business and the Site, such as our web host, Google (analytics), Automattic (Jetpack), our website security provider, our email newsletter provider and payment processors. They may use the information only to provide services to us.
  • Subcontractors or manufacturers, when needed to complete or warranty work you’ve hired us for.
  • Legal and safety reasons, when required by law or to protect our rights, property or safety, or that of others.
  • A business transfer, if B&K is sold or merged, as part of that transaction.

Cookies and your choices

Cookies are small files stored by your browser. The Site uses cookies for analytics and for basic site functions. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings; the Site will still work.

How long we keep information

We keep customer and project records for as long as needed to provide services, honor warranties, and meet tax, accounting and legal requirements. Analytics data is kept according to our analytics settings. Form submissions that don’t lead to work are deleted periodically.

How we protect information

We use reasonable safeguards, including encrypted (HTTPS) connections, firewalls and access controls. No website or transmission over the internet is completely secure, so we can’t guarantee absolute security.

Your rights

You may ask us to tell you what personal information we hold about you, correct it, or delete it, and you may unsubscribe from marketing emails at any time using the link in the email. Depending on where you live, state law may give you additional rights. To make a request, contact us using the details below. We will respond within the time required by applicable law and will not treat you differently for making a request.

Children

The Site is intended for businesses and adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has sent us information, contact us and we will delete it.
